We don’t like to brag, but we are especially proud of the most recent project we completed! The Washington Metro (officially – WMATA - Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority) recently completed renovations and updates on employee locker rooms, shower areas and bathrooms. CNA Specialties and Haris Design were major contributors to the completion and success of the project.
Spanning 3 different rail yards – 1 in Maryland, 1 in Washington D.C., and 1 in Virginia, the renovation plan was a multi-phase project that included all aspects of Design/Build for multiple locations within each rail yard, as well as complete installation and implementation. Carolyn Ward, President of CNA Specialties, commented “We had a great experience with Jeff and Barry at Haris Design to create a much healthier work environment for the hard-working employees at WMATA.” Haris Design was responsible for the architectural design and general contracting work for the rooms, while CNA Specialties was responsible for the metal lockers, stainless steel toilet partitions and shower compartments/dividers, solid surface countertops and washroom accessories.
Great thanks go out to all who worked on the project, especially those at WMATA, whose cooperation, dedication and perseverance helped to make the project run as effectively and efficiently as possible. We hope to work with WMATA and Haris Design again in the future to help continue creating a positive work environment for those that keep so many commuters moving through our nation’s Capital!
